Ben and his family are deeply involved in service, church life and community events in Rockwall County, investing their time in the same neighborhoods where he serves on the bench.
- Active in local civic and Republican organizations, including Rotary Club and multiple Rockwall County Republican clubs and community groups.
- Regular volunteer for Meals on Wheels, food bank distributions, senior outreach and church service projects.
- Member of Lakeshore Church in Rockwall and part of the host team, participating in prayer gatherings with local elected officials.
- Ben and his wife Stacy are raising their family in Rockwall and are working to visit all fifty states with their daughter promised Reagan before she graduates high school.
- Their Bernedoodle, Penny Waffles, is a familiar face on neighborhood walks and family outings.

Legal and professional background
- Appointed by Republican leaders to serve as Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, after interviews and recommendations from community members.
- Trial attorney since 1994, handling more than a thousand criminal cases and over one hundred jury trials ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies.
- Former Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Galveston County, trying cases in district, county and Justice of the Peace courts.
- Solo practitioner representing clients across North and East Texas in criminal defense, juvenile and mental health matters.
- Licensed real estate agent with Massar Realty Group alongside his wife Stacy, helping families buy and sell homes in the Rockwall area.
Education
Education and training
- Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law with a focus on trial advocacy and criminal law.
- Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
- Regularly continuing judicial and legal education through Texas bar associations.
